These pages are programmed
with
Maxum's
NetCloak
and served on our Macintosh server. Please enter some quantities
to test the functionality.
PRODUCT PAGE
This demo
starts with a typical "Products Detail" page indicated
by the examples on the right.
ORDER CHECKOUT PAGE
Upon "Submit",
the user is taken to a "Order Checkout Page" where
there order is totaled along with, in this case, shipping &
handling factored in based on the sub-total amount. This page
can be customized to calculate sales tax or a different method
of computing S&H per your needs. Remember,
this is just a generic demo to show NetCloak capabilities.
The Order Checkout page
is also a form page to capture billing, address and shipping
information.
CONFIRMATION
When the user
submits the "Order Checkout" page, this demo returns
either an "Confirmation" HTML page, or an "Invalid"
error page. 1) The error page is returned if you have required
fields that were not filled in. The user will then be directed
to click their browser's "Back" button to complete
the required fields. 2) When all required field information
is input, the program returns a "Confirmation" page
with all the data the user filled in as a "receipt"
for printing.
EMAIL

In addition to the "Confirmation" HTML page, the program
also generates and send a confirmation email, with all the input
data (so be sure to fill in your correct email address for the
test to the user). A typical set up is to send a confirmation
email to both your customer and you as an order "alert".
DATABASE
All the data
input by the user is also input into a text based tab delimited
database in your site on the server, which you can download
and view in your favorite database or spreadsheet program.
FILEMAKER PRO
- Desktop Template
We can also build you a companion Filemaker Pro template for
your desktop to view the database created by these form pages.
Here's how it works: first, you would download the the tab delimited
text file that aggregates and is stored on the server with an
FTP program like Fetch and then simply open the FileMaker Pro
file and import the text data into the FMPro template. Subsequent
downloads would be imported as new records so that they will
be added to the existing FMPro database. Easy!
