Bridge realizes that one of the greatest advantages of a dedicated access service like DSL is the ability to log into your computers from a remote location. Many of our customers use programs like Timbuktu, PC Anywhere, Filemaker Pro, and telnet to operate their systems remotely. Run your own mail server for your-name.com L.A. Bridge encourages customers to run their own mail server. Many small companies need to be able to add/delete new e-mail addresses, change passwords or forward mail without waiting for their Internet provider to handle the request. Running your own server affords you this and many other luxuries. For a one-time $75 setup fee L.A. Bridge will point the "MX" (mail exchange) records for your domain name to your static address. This service is commonly usedby our DSL customers to run their own mail server which accepts any mail destined for their domain name. Run a Virtual Private Network If
you have two locations (i.e. your office and
your home) which you would like to be able
to share printers and servers from then you
can purchase L.A. Bridge DSL account for both
locations. Let us know before you order and
we can configure your systems for "Virtual
Private Networking". Additional software may
be required depending on your server platform
and operating system. DSL Information:
