Why sign-up
with L A Bridge Internet?
By
using L A Bridge as your Internet provider you are supporting a company
that is active in various causes. We are a for-profit company but we
support many non-profit and politically charged organizations. We are
a vegetarian/vegan owned company and we feel strongly about animal rights.
We run a paperless office and many of our employees and contractors
work from home which we think is step towards reducing exhaust emissions
from cars. It's a small gesture but we try to do our part.
Using multiple upstream
connections and "Asynchronus Routing" L A Bridge provides you with over
200 Mbits of full duplex connectivity to the Internet.
Combining Cisco Catalyst switches and asynchronous routing we have almost
eliminated collisions on our networks since there are rarely two packets
heading in opposite directions. The result is particularly zippy performance
when you visit Web pages and rapid file downloads. With one of our primary connections in Los Angeles we also have peering with Internet II (Internet 2). This can be illustrated with a quick traceroute from any internal L A Bridge connected machine to www.berkeley.edu. When you see "cenic.net" you know you're on Internet 2.
