News Watcher

News Watcher is a pretty good and simple news reader for the Macintosh.

Download News Watcher and save it to your computer. Once that is done, you will need to extract the files before you can run it. The first time you run News Watcher you will get a window like the one below. Fill it out to look like Figure 1

Next use the pop up menu and select "Server Address", then fill it out so that it looks just like Figure 2.

Great, now enter in your Name, Organization and E-mail address.
Just replace "username" with your username.

Once you are connected you will get a listing of all the news groups available from L A Bridge Internet. It should look like Figure 4.

Select the group you want to read by double clicking on it.
A window will tell you that the messages for that group are being sent to your computer.

Once all the message for that group have been sent, you can then read the messages.

Just double click on the message you want to read and it will be displayed in a window.

For more advanced features you can go to the "Help" menu in News Watcher and find all the goodies in it.

That's it!

Now you can surf the news groups!
