Configuring Eudora 5.x For Windows

Eudora has become one of the leading e-mail programs among Internet users. It allows you to take control of your e-mail before it takes control of you. Eudora 5.0 is more than a way to send and receive messages - it's a powerful management tool for your e-mail and it's free!

We recommend you use Eudora for your e-mail system. If you don't have a Eudora you can download it from www.Eudora.com.

Below are the 2 server names that you will need, please write them down.

SMTP Server: smtp.labridge.com
POP Server: pop.labridge.com

Configuration of Eudora is very simple. First you will need to launch Eudora and open the Settings window. You can find this by going to Tools > Options.

1	Getting Started Now that you have the settings click on Getting Started. Enter your L A Bridge your name in the Real name field and your e-mail address in the Return address field. Now enter pop.labridge.com in the Mail Server (Incoming) field and your username in the Login Name field. In the SMTP Server (Outgoing) field enter your smtp.labridge.com. See example image below.
2	Checking Mail In order to check your mail you need to add some information to the Check Mail settings. Your Username and Mail Server is carried over from the Getting Started panel. All other settings on this panel can be customized for your needs. See example image below.
3	Incoming Mail In Server configuration you should have POP selected. All other settings on this panel can be customized for your needs. See example image below.
4	Sending Mail Most of the Sending Mail settings are carried over from the Getting Started panel. For the Default Domain you can enter labridge.com. All other settings on this panel can be customized for your needs. See example image below.
5	Composing Mail All of the Composing Mail settings are carried over from the Getting Started panel. Once you set up Signatures and Stationary you can return to this panel to make them default for all your e-mail's. All other settings on this panel can be customized for your needs. See example image below.
5	These are all the settings you need to begin using Eudora 5.x for the Windows. All other settings below are for general customization of Eudora.

29	Adding Personalities To add additional e-mail accounts to Eudora 5 on Windows go to Tools > Personalities. See example image below.
30	Add New Personality Once the Personality window opens up, right click in the Personality window and select New.... (You must be in sponsored or commercial Eudora mode.) See example image below.
31	New Personality Wizard Once the New Account Wizard opens up choose Create a brand new e-mail account. Click Next. See example image below.
32	New Personality Name In the Personality Name field enter a name, this will be for reference only. Click Next. See example image below.
33	New Personal Information In the Your Name field enter your name. Click Next. See example image below.
34	New E-mail Address In the E-mail Address field enter your e-mail address. Click Next. See example image below.
35	New Login Name In the Login Name field enter your username. Click Next. See example image below.
36	New Incoming E-mail Server In the Incoming Server field enter pop.labridge.com and have POP selected. Click Next. See example image below.
37	New Outgoing E-mail Server In the Outgoing Server field enter smtp.labridge.com and have Allow authentication checked. Click Next. See example image below.
38	New Personality Complete Your all done. Click Finish. See example image below.
