Configuring E-mail & News Settings On OS X

Apple has made it very easy to setup E-mail & News in OS X. This tutorial will walk you through on how to setup your E-mail and News.

Before you start, make sure you have the following setup.

  • You have activated an Internet account with us. If you have not signed up with us then please click here. If you have signed up with us please have your username / password information ready.

System Settings
You will need to get into the System Settings window. You can find the System Settings icon in the Dock. If it's not in the Dock then you can find it via the finder. Simply click on the Desktop icon in the Dock (It's the smiling Mac face.) and click on Apps in the top. In here you can find the System Settings. Once you find it, double click it to open it.

Personal Internet Settings
Now find the Internet icon and click on it. Next, click on the Personal tab. In the Name field enter your real name. Next in the E-mail Address enter your e-mail address. See example image below.

E-mail Settings
Now click on the E-mail tab. Select your Default E-mail Reader. In the Incoming Mail Server field enter pop.labridge.com, select POP for Account Type. In the User Account ID field enter your username and for the Password field enter your L A Bridge password. See example image below.

Web Settings
Now click on the Web tab. All of the Web settings can be customized for your needs. See example image below.

News Settings
Next click on the News tab. Select your Default News Reader. In the News Server field enter news.labridge.com and have Guest selected for Connect As. See example image below.
