Locating
your MAC Address
If
you are using a UNIX machine
At
the command line type: sbin/ifconfig eth0
...the
output should look like this:
eth0

We
need the HWaddr field which, in this case
is: 00:05:9A:80:6E:98
This
information should be placed in an e-mail
using the following format:
To:
support@LABridge.com
Subject: Ethernet Card Address: <USERNAME>
<HARDWARE-ADDRESS>
Body: <USERNAME> <HARDWARE-ADDRESS>
...replacing
<USERNAME> with your username (i.e.
janice) and <HARDWARE-ADDRESS> with
the 12 numbers separated by colons of the
hardware address. Brackets are not necessary.
If
you are using a Windows
Select
"Start" à "Run
"
Type
winipcfg in the field and press RETURN.
Select
"Ethernet Adaptor" from the pop-up
window at the top.
We
need the HWaddr field which will look something
like: 00:05:9A:80:6E:98

information should be placed in an e-mail

you are using a Macintosh:
Under
the apple menu, choose "Apple System
Profiler"
Under
the System Profile Tab, click on the arrow
next to "Network Overview"
The
characters after the words: Hardware Address:
is the MAC address.
In
this case, it is 00.05.9a.a0.44.59

This
