Configuring
FTP Via BBEdit 5.x - 6.x
BBEdit
is a high-performance HTML and text editor for the Macintosh. It is
designed and crafted for the editing, searching, transformation, and
manipulation of text. BBEdit provides an array of general-purpose features
which are useful for a wide variety of tasks, and includes many features
which have been specifically developed in response to the needs of Web
authors and software developers.

Before
you start, make sure you have the following setup.
- You
have activated an Internet account with us. If you have not signed
up with us then please click
here. If you have signed up with us please have your username
/ password information ready.

BBEdit
FTP Settings
To add the FTP settings to BBEdit you need open the Preferences
window. Edit > Prferences
and select FTP Bookmarks.
Now enter a FTP profile name in the Name
field. In the Host field enter
ftp.labridge.com if you have a commercial account. If you
have a free FTP account then enter home.labridge.com in
the Host field. In the User
field enter your username and your password in the
Pass field. You can leave
the Path field empty
or add a slash /. See example image below.

Open
Via FTP
To open files via FTP you need to go to File
> Open from FTP Server... (Shift + Cmd + O). Once
the FTP window opens up, simply click Conect
and find the file you wish to open. Once you find it, click Open.

Saving
to FTP Server
To save a file to the FTP Server go to
File > Save to FTP Server... (Shift + Cmd + S). Once
the FTP window opens up click Connect
and find the location where you wish save the files on the FTP Server.
