Section 2: Configuring ConfigPPP

Begin by following these instructions.

• Launch ConfigPPP from the Control Panels Folder
• Select New... and type in LABridge.com
• Click OK
• Fill in the blanks to match the graphic below. (Port name should indicate the serial port that your modem is on.)

Click the Config... button and make it look exactly as below. Determine what port speed to use with the following rules:

• 14400 change the port speed to 19200
• 28800 change the port speed to 38400
• 33600 change the port speed to 57600

If you have to dial an extension to reach an outside line or dial a string to disable call waiting, enter it in the Phone num field before the phone number. Place a comma after the dial out string so that the modem will pause for one second before dialing (i.e. 9, 448 1222 or *70, 448 1222).

Click the Authentication... button. Replace putLoginHere with the username that you chose and add your password to the password field (duh!).

Click OK, then Done and restart your Mac.
