L A Bridge
Wireless Broadband is being deployed in Los Angeles neighborhoods
where DSL is unavailable. It brings a reliable broadband alternative to those areas. A map showing the coverage areas can be found here for

How
does it work?
A high capacity circuit and a wireless base station
are installed in the neighborhood. The later broadcasts the wireless
signal. At the client location we install a receiver that will
send and receive data to and from the base station. The types
of set up at each client will vary depending on the equipment
needed to acquire and maintain a reliable link to the base station.

How
fast is it?
1 Mbps is the usual speed. Some locations are able
to maintain a reliable link at up to 5Mbps.
How
much does it cost?
Sigle user - $50/month.
Multi-user - $199/month.
